BTK App UPDATE: Tom: "Guess what it is…"

Tom has taped a video at Griffith Observatory, in Los Angeles, CA…We can see the Foucoult Pendulum, which was invented by French physicist Jean Foucoult in 1851 and provided the first proof that the Earth rotates on its axis. This is a 240-pound brass sphere suspended by a 40-foot steel wire.


Tom ha grabado un video en el Observatorio Griffith, en Los Ángeles, California…Podemos ver el Péndulo de Foucoult, que fue inventado por el físico francés Jean Foucoult en 1851 y aportó la primera prueba de que la Tierra rota sobre sus ejes. Se trata de una esfera de bronce de 240 libras suspendido por un cable de acero de 40 pies.
